Archiving and Open Research Data Policy

"Scientific Bulletin of the Uzhhorod University. Series Biology" provides long-term storage, open access and continuous availability of published scientific materials in accordance with the principles of open science and international standards of digital archiving.

The journal is published using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which provides open access to publications, supports the standards of electronic scientific publishing and meets modern requirements for long-term digital preservation of scientific information.

All published articles are posted on the official website of the journal and are in open access on a permanent basis without restrictions on access terms.

Each publication is assigned a unique digital identifier DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which ensures permanent reference, correct citation and long-term identification of scientific materials.

Electronic version is posted on the website of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine.

In order to guarantee the preservation of scientific content, the editorial office of the journal also promotes the placement of published materials in institutional repositories of higher education institutions and scientific institutions with which the authors of the publications are affiliated.

FAIR Data Policy (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)

The journal supports the FAIR principles for research data management to promote transparency, reproducibility, and the reuse of research results. Research data should, wherever possible and ethically appropriate, comply with the principles of Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable data.

Findable. Data should be properly described and, where possible, assigned persistent identifiers (e.g., DOI).

Accessible. Data should be made available through repositories or supplementary materials, taking into account ethical and legal restrictions. Any limitations on access must be clearly justified.

Interoperable. Data should be provided in standardized formats that enable processing and integration with other datasets.

Reusable. Data should be sufficiently documented and appropriately licensed to allow verification and further use.

The journal encourages authors to deposit research data in trusted repositories and to include a data availability statement in their manuscripts.
