THE NATIONAL CHARACTER OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN’S DECORATIVE ACTIVITY BY MEANS OF WORKS OF DECORATIVE AND APPLIED ARTS OF THE NATIVE COUNTRY

The author of the article has raised the problem of the influence of decorative activities based on the works of decorative and applied art of the native land on the national and artistic and aesthetic education of preschoolers. Based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical researches and modern documents on preschool education, the concept of “artistic competence”, the peculiarities of the formation of artistic and creative competence in the process of artistic and productive activity by means of folk art of the native land have been revealed. It has also been pointed out the peculiarity of the development and value of decorative and applied arts of Transcarpathia, the usage of unsurpassed works of folk art of the native land, which contributes to the development of national consciousness and creative personality of the preschoolers in the process of artistic activity. It has been noted that teaching decorative activity based on decorative and applied arts has great potential for the comprehensive development of the child and necessitates the observance of certain didactic principles and enrichment of the content of decorative activity. During the research, the author has determined the effective pedagogical conditions for the development of preschoolers’ decorative activities, revealed the main areas of work and teaching methods used. The system of work with children of senior preschool age on the use of works of decorative and applied arts of Transcarpathia has been aimed at integrating decorative activities with folklore and artistic work. We have concluded that the pedagogical conditions used in preschool educational institutions stimulated the development of artistic and productive activities of preschoolers by means of works of decorative and applied art, enriched them with life experiences, formed aesthetic experiences and stimulated the need for their own decorative activities. Thus, the systematic work has ensured the unity of aesthetic, intellectual and national formation of preschoolers.
