TRAINING SPEECH THERAPY STUDENTS TO DEVELOP PROSODIC EXPRESSIVENESS OF SPEECH THROUGH LOGORHYTHMICS IN THE REHABILITATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH APHASIA

Abstract

Speech is the main means of interpersonal communication, which includes not only lexical and grammatical correctness, but also intonational expressiveness: melody, rhythm, tempo, logical emphasis, and other prosodic components. The formation of skills in students to master techniques that improve phonation breathing, voice, professional speech hearing, and clear articulation is the main goal of preparing students for their future profession. Future speech therapists must avoid speech errors and maintain interest in the purity of their speech.The formation of intonation expressiveness of speech requires special attention in cases of speech disorders, in particular, in aphasia – a complex lesion of the speech centers of the brain. This is especially relevant during a full-scale war. Intonation provides semantic accuracy, expression of emotions, and creates the prerequisites for effective communication. One of the little-studied, but promising technologies for speech correction in patients with aphasia is logorhythmics, which is based on the synthesis of speech, musical and motor activity. During logorhythmics classes, both speech and motor-auditory areas of the brain are activated, which contributes to the restoration of communicative function in people with aphasia. Modern speech therapy practice actively uses logorhythmics as a comprehensive method of restoring both speech and motor functions. It promotes the harmonization of breathing, voice formation, articulation, activates the emotional-volitional sphere and creates conditions for restoring the intonational side of speech. The article examines the features of training future speech therapist teachers to develop intonational expressiveness of speech using logorhythms in the rehabilitation of people with aphasia.The importance of the intonational aspect of speech for communicative activity is substantiated, difficulties that arise in patients with aphasia are identified, and logorhythmics is outlined as an effective means of restoring the tempo-rhythmic organization, melody, and emotional expressiveness of speech. The methods of logorhythmics that contribute to the development of intonation expressiveness and communicative competence of patients with aphasia have been identified.
