PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS IN THE FIELD OF STUDY 081 “LAW” IN TERMS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN FUTURE LAWYERS

The article is devoted to the study of the psychological and pedagogical potential of educational standards in the specialty 081 “Law” in the context of the development of emotional intelligence of future lawyers. The relevance of the topic is determined by the transformations of the labor market, where social and emotional intelligence is recognized as the foundation of the professional competence of specialists in socio-economic professions. Emphasis is placed on the fact that for lawyers, emotional intelligence is a tool for transforming theoretical knowledge (hard skills) into practical results, ensuring their stress resistance and mastery in social interaction. A comparative analysis of bachelor's and master's degree standards in higher education in the field of 081 “Law” (D8) was conducted. It has been proven that although the term ‘emotional intelligence’ is not directly used in the content of the standards, it is their latent basis, integrated into the structure of general and special competences and programme learning outcomes. At the bachelor's level of higher education, emotional intelligence is embedded in the content of adaptability, teamwork, self-reflection, and an empathetic approach to counselling clients. At the master's level, emotional intelligence is considered in the context of strategic management and leadership, serving as the basis for making informed decisions in unpredictable conditions, mediating conflicts, and professional opposition without resorting to personal attacks. The article emphasises the importance of implementing a comprehensive model for training future lawyers, combining regulatory requirements with the study of such academic disciplines as “Professional Psychology”, “Mediation Technologies”, “Strategic Leadership”, etc. It concludes that the systematic integration of emotional intelligence into educational programmes for training future lawyers is a strategic necessity that ensures their competitiveness, reduces the risks of professional burnout, and improves the quality of legal assistance
