APPLICATION OF THE PROJECT METHOD IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Abstract

The article focuses on the specifics of the application of the project method in the professional training of future physical education teachers in a higher education institution. The relevance of the study is due to modern requirements for the formation of professional competence of teachers, which is based on the content of the Professional Standard “Teacher of a General Secondary Education Institution”. Scientific approaches to the interpretation of the project method are highlighted, the features of its application in the training of future specialists in the field of physical education and sports are analyzed. A classification of educational projects is presented according to the criteria: dominant activity, number of participants, duration of implementation, nature of interaction, implementation of interdisciplinary connections, nature of coordination; purpose and direction of project activity. The aim of the article is to clarify the features of the application of the project method in the process of professional training of future physical education teachers in a higher education institution. It was determined that the implementation of the project method is based on an activity-based approach focused on creative solutions to professional tasks through the use of analytical, research, creative techniques and presentation of the results obtained. Emphasis is placed on compliance with organizational and methodological requirements that affect the effectiveness of the application of the project method in the study of disciplines. Based on the experience of professional activity in a higher education institution, the practice of using the project method – research, creative, informational in the process of teaching the course “Pedagogy of Physical Education and Sports” for Bachelor’s degree students of the specialty A4 Secondary Education (by subject specialties) of the subject specialty A4.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture) is described. Attention is focused on the implementation of research, creative and informational projects and their significance for the future professional activities of physical education teachers.
