MODERN INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHING AND UPBRINGING CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Abstract

The article highlights the issue of implementing modern innovative technologies in the practice of preschool education institutions, particularly in the context of inclusive education. The relevance of the study is based on the update the Basic Component of Preschool Education, the enactment of the new Law of Ukraine “On Preschool Education”, and recent innovations in the organization of inclusive and special education for preschool children with special educational needs. The paper analyzes the essence of the concept of “innovative technologies” in preschool education, outlines their types and ways of application, and reveals the corrective potential of these methods for the development of cognitive, sensory, socio-communicative and motor abilities of preschool children, including those with intellectual disabilities. Special attention is paid to the specifics of using innovative technologies for preschoolers with special educational needs, particularly children with intellectual disabilities, in the context of inclusive education are highlighted. It is demonstrated that these technologies open up new opportunities for the development of this category of children, contributing to the improvement of cognitive processes, socialization, and preparation for independent life. The article also emphasizes the challenges and problems in implementing innovative technologies in preschool education, including insufficient material and technical support of preschool institutions, lack of funding for corrective classes for children with special educational needs, and teachers’ unpreparedness to implement innovative methods in preschool practice.
