The article provides a comprehensive theoretical and methodological substantiation and develops practical parameters for the innovative modeling of motion games within the modern educational space of the New Ukrainian School. The key contradictions hindering the potential of game intensification in institutions of general secondary education have been identified and systematized. Specifically, the study outlines a sharp conflict between the declarative expansion of the list of latest variable game modules and the real material and technical deficit of schools, as well as the methodological unpreparedness of teaching staff and the terminological deficit resulting from the mechanical borrowing of foreign games without proper didactic adaptation. Within the framework of the research, the parameters of didactic modeling of the game process are substantiated in four leading directions: content design (transition to multi-level design), spatial architecture (variable adaptation of playgrounds, division into functional zones), ergonomics of equipment (use of lightweight and downsized equipment), and pedagogical ethics (humanization of interaction). Special attention is paid to the strategic social and educational significance of revitalizing ethnosport heritage based on the «traditional game-based» and «domestic games» approaches. Using the example of the successful implementation of the European experience in modernizing the Romanian folk game «oina», it is proved that the integration of authentic national motion games, applied to a modern matrix of step-by-step pedagogical design, allows for solving tasks of youth ethnic self-identification, cognitive assimilation of social norms, and the formation of students’ key life competences, while minimizing the dependence of schools on expensive imported equipment.
