AVAILABILITY OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR PATIENTS OF TRANSCARPATHIAN REGION WITH CENTRAL FORM OF ANKYLOSING SPONDYLOARTHRITIS (ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS OF PATIENT SURVEYS)

Abstract

Objective: to investigate the availability of physical rehabilitation services for patients of Transcarpathian region with the central form of ankylosing spondyloarthritis and to identify the main problems in providing non-drug component of treatment of this group of patients.
Materials and methods. Comprehensive sociological research was conducted on the basis of communal non-profit enterprise "Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital named after A. Novak ”of Transcarpathian regional council, during which 24 persons, residents of the village and the city of males, who suffer from ankylosing spondyloarthritis were interviewed. When performing the study, in addition to sociological, we used the following research methods: bibliosemantic, statistical and the method of systemic approach and systemic analysis.
Results. None of the patients interviewed during the entire period of the disease did not participate in group classes for patients with ankylosing spondyloarthritis and, even, is not informed whether such groups exist; did not engage in physical therapy or therapeutic gymnastics according to an individual rehabilitation plan, did not undergo training in the organization of independent therapeutic gymnastics classes. A significant part – 54.2%, purposefully do not perform physical exercises. 72.7% of respondents use information from available Internet sources. Others consulted a fitness trainer or attending physician (rheumatologist). 66.7% of respondents noted the absence of a specialist to consult with and 58.3% of respondents noted financial problems in the possibility of attracting private practitioners.
Conclusions. The obtained data demonstrate the absolute inaccessibility for patients with ankylosing spondyloarthritis, the residents of the Transcarpathian region, specialized physical therapy services. Groups of obstacles in the proper provision of non-pharmacological treatment of ankylosing spondyloarthritis in the Transcarpathian region have been identified.
