TO THE ISSUE OF PERFORMING THE FUNCTIONS OF HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT BY THE HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS OF SPECIALIZED MEDICAL CARE INSTITUTIONS

Goal of research – to study the level of performing the functions of health care organizers by the heads of departments of specialized medical care institutions and their readiness to this type of activity.
Methods of research. Sociological and statistical methods of research were used while performing the study. A specially designed questionnaire polled 100 heads of departments of specialized medical care institutions in Transcarpathian region.
Results and conclusions. It is determined that heads of department of specialized medical care institutions daily perform the functions of health care organizers. These are the organizational and management functions, the functions of organizing personnel activity, control functions, organization of continuous perfection of the staff professional skills. At all these conditions the level of their readiness for this type of activity is insufficient. Special training at the level of department is not provided.
