PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHING METHODOLOGY: MODERN GUIDELINES

Abstract

The article highlights modern approaches to the training of future physical education teachers in the process of teaching the discipline "Physical Education Teaching Methods in the Secondary Education System" for higher education applicants for the Master's degree. The relevance and purpose of the study are formulated, which involves clarifying scientific and methodological guidelines for the training of future educators during the teaching of the discipline.The consideration of the specified problem in the scientific searches of scientists is traced, modern approaches to the training of physical education teachers are characterized. It is emphasized that domestic higher education is acquiring a new content with a European orientation on a national basis, as evidenced by the approved regulatory and legislative framework of the industry, Higher Education Standards, and updated Educational and Professional Programs. The professional competence of a physical education teacher involves the formation of its components (integral, general, professional competencies) and is aimed at training a competitive specialist with modern democratic and moral-ethical values. The author's vision of scientific and methodological guidelines in the process of training future physical education teachers in the process of teaching the discipline "Physical Education Teaching Methods in the Secondary Education System" at the master's degree level is summarized and characterized. Among them the following are distinguished: implementation of the Laws of Ukraine, Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the field of "Education" from the point of view of modern state requirements for the training of specialists and compliance with academic integrity; implementation of a competency-based approach in the educational process; formation of national and European values of higher education applicants; a selection of traditional and innovative teaching methods while taking into account the formation of professional competencies and program learning outcomes of higher education students, as defined by the Educational and Professional Program; practical training; research activities of higher education students. Examples of the implementation of the specified approaches are given with an explanation of the algorithm for their implementation. Traditional teaching methods are listed: lecture and its varieties, heuristic conversation, discussion, debates, and others; innovative ones: interactive lecture, lecture with frame supports, insert lecture, project-based. Those that ensure the creation of a quasi-professional environment are of importance: situation modeling, business game, etc. Forms of extracurricular work of higher education students and, in accordance with the requirements of the work program, the organization of sports events in a general secondary education institution are indicated.The specifics of training of future physical education teachers at a master's degree have been determined, which involves conducting scientific research, processing it, and highlighting the results in a qualification paper.
