The article summarizes modern approaches to physical therapy for gunshot injuries of internal organs, considering clinical, functional, and rehabilitative aspects. The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing number of severe combat-related injuries among military personnel, which highlights the need to improve medical rehabilitation systems and implement effective physiotherapeutic strategies. The research aims to identify optimal directions for physical therapy at various stages of treatment for patients with internal organ damage caused by gunshot wounds and to develop a generalized model for restoring functional capacity. The study examines contemporary approaches to organizing physical therapy, which include early mobilization, controlled breathing exercises, positioning, gradual expansion of motor activity, and psychological support. The importance of individualized interventions is emphasized, taking into account the clinical condition, type of injury, and level of tolerance to physical load. The study also underlines the value of a multidisciplinary approach that integrates the efforts of physical therapists, surgeons, occupational therapists, anesthesiologists, and psychologists to ensure comprehensive patient recovery. The findings indicate that the systematic implementation of physical therapy programs contributes to improved pulmonary ventilation, stabilization of hemodynamics, reduction of thromboembolic and septic complications, shorter hospitalization periods, and enhanced functional autonomy. Physical therapy is regarded as a key component of the rehabilitation process, ensuring not only physical but also psychological recovery of the injured. A promising direction for further research involves the development of a national model of physical therapy for individuals with combat-related internal organ injuries, adapted to the current conditions of Ukrainian military medicine.
