Abstract

The current operational conditions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, characterized by prolonged armed conflicts and hybrid threats, highlight the urgent need to rethink traditional approaches to military education. Consequently, the priority in this process shifting toward shaping not merely a disciplined soldier who executes orders, but a responsible, conscious agent of military and professional activity. This individual must be capable of independent decision-making under tough challenges that constantly arise from the complex and non-standard situations soldiers frequently face in modern combat. Given these circumstances, reflexive-self-regulatory mechanisms gain particular importance. They serve as a prerequisite for high-quality duty performance, ensuring the internal control of a soldier’s behavior along with their moral and psychological resilience. Therefore, certain aspects of modern military education now face the necessity of developing new approaches to effectively manage the education and professional growth of modern officers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
