Level of application of the national classifier of medical devices in the procurement of medical devices in health care institutions of Ukraine: according to a sociological study

Abstract

Purpose is to study the level of application of the National Classifier of Medical Devices in the procurement of medical devices in health care institutions of Ukraine. Materials and methods. Materials: regulatory documents, scientific literature, results of sociological research among 324 heads of health care institutions of specialized medical care, among them 98 general directors, 121 medical directors, 24 deputy general directors for economic issues, 81 chairmen of tender committees of health care institutions. Methods: bibliosemantic, sociological, medico-statistical, of structural-and-logical analysis. Results. The insufficient level of knowledge of the heads of health care institutions on the issues of the National Classifier of Medical Devices and the mechanisms of its implementation is shown. Accordingly, this classifier is used in the procurement of medical devices at an insufficient level. Conclusions. Effective implementation of the National Classifier of Medical Devices in the health care system of Ukraine requires additional organizational measures at the sectoral and regional levels.
