Requirements for execution

"Scientific Bulletin of the Uzhhorod University. Series Biology "publishes original and review articles in the field of biology and ecology in Ukrainian or English. All manuscripts are reviewed. The editorial board reserve the right to shorten the text and reject manuscripts that do not correspond to the subject matter of the journal. The manuscript must meet the requirements for the rules, as set out below.

FORMAT AND VOLUME OF MANUSCRIPTS

A manuscript shall be submitted to the editorial office in electronic form only. A volume of papers: 5-15 pages for original papers, 16 and more: for reviews and revisions. The volume of materials for the sections "Chronicle", "Information", "Bibliography", "Personals" is 1-4 pages.

The manuscript should be submitted in A4 format, book orientation, margins 2.5 cm, font Times New Roman, font size 14 pt, spacing 1.5; for tables it is allowed to reduce the size of the font up to 10 pt and at space of 1.0.

Text and spreadsheets should be submitted in RTF format (or in the Word Document format). Text formatting without using original styles is allowed. Drawings must be submitted as separate files (more details below).

STRUCTURE OF THE MANUSCRIPT

Main parts: title of the paper, name and surname of the author(s), full affiliation of all authors and postal addresses for each of them.

Abstract: should contain a brief summary of the research subject and reflect the main results of the research. The volume is not less than 1800 characters.

Keywords: 5-6 for each one.

Information about the author(s) is given after the abstract in next order:

Name and surname of each author, affiliation, postal address (when authoring articles by several authors, the author's data is given for each one with separate numbers).

E-mail for each author.

The text of the manuscript should be structured. It is recommended following sections:

Introduction

Material and Methods

Results

Discussions

Conclusions

Acknowledgments (if needed)

References (include papers quoted in the text only).

MANUSCRIPT EDITING

Bibliographic references to the sources of information in the text are as follows: according to Crowson (1995), (Ivanenko 2011), (Ivanenko, Lazarenko 2012), (Marx et al. 2012). They should to correlate with a list of references.

Tables should be submitted in the text of the article or in separate sheets at the end of the article. It is recommended to avoid multi-table tables, and large amounts of data are distributed among multiple tables.

Figures. It is desirable to submit illustrations not exceeding 170x210 mm (600 dpi black & white tif, 300 dpi color jpg file). Figures are desirable to submit built-in text already. In some cases it’s possible to submit separately from the text as separate file: 1200 dpi black & white tif, 600 dpi color jpg file. In this case, please, marked places for the figures in the text by separate lines, for example [fig. 1 (file fig1.jpg)].

Captions for the figures and the tables should be given with relevant numbers.

REFERENCE EDITING

The bibliographic descriptions are given in alphabetical order.

CORRESPONDENCE, FILES

Correspondence with the authors is carried out by e-mail. In all cases, please follow the sterility of files and letters regarding electronic viruses. File names must be typed in Latin and correspond to the first author's last name - for example, "Kurtiak.doc".

Illustration file names must be appended with the illustration number - for example, "Kurtiak-fig1.jpg".

For each registered article, in accordance with the schedule of its preparation, three messages are sent to the author: about receipt, about acceptance of the updated version after review and editing, about acceptance for printing.
