THE ROLE OF NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE RESOCIALIZATION OF TEENAGERS WITHIN SCHOOLS OF SOCIAL REHABILITATION (FROM WORK EXPERIENCE)

Abstract

The article discusses the relevance of working with teenagers prone to delinquent behavior who are in closed institutions. It highlights the necessity of engaging with them at both state and community levels. An attempt is made to analyze specific forms of work conducted by a non-governmental organization in educational institutions of this type. The paper describes various forms of work, such as training sessions, presentations, and discussions, as well as the feasibility or impracticality of conducting certain activities with teenagers in social rehabilitation schools. Examples are provided of organizing recreational activities through various sports events involving volunteers and students from different university and college specialties. The participation of children's/youth artistic groups in organizing celebrations, as well as the involvement of colleges training future police officers, is also noted. The quantity and diversity of the events held may aim to promote a healthy lifestyle, establish relationships with different groups of people, provide opportunities to see alternative life paths, and shape role models. The article also reflects on forms of work with students, such as conducting fundraising events to gather funds for the educational needs of teenagers and extracurricular activities. Positive aspects of training specialists from various fields in universities are discussed, focusing on developing a humanitarian perspective towards individuals with delinquent behavior through work in social rehabilitation schools. Specific forms of collaboration with educators at social rehabilitation schools are presented: lectures, presentations, and participation in joint events and projects. The main research method employed was content analysis of annual reports from the non-governmental organization. The novelty lies in expanding the experience of interaction between state educational institutions and community organizations through joint activities. It is important to familiarize students with the functioning of various programs and projects, allowing them to see the diversity of activities undertaken by social educators/social workers with different population categories.
