MULTIMEDIA TOOLS FOR TEACHING ENGLISH IN PRACTICAL CLASSES AT DDAEU

Abstract

In the most developed countries of the world, intensive implementation of multimedia systems and technologies into the educational process of all levels of education is carried out, because the multimedia and interactive properties of information communication technologies allow implementing the basic principles of linguodidactics: creative activity, independence, active nature of learning, focus on a specific person. It is no longer enough for a modern foreign language teacher at DSAEU to simply have deep subject knowledge and possess practical skills and abilities. He/she needs to creatively use the acquired knowledge in a nonstandard changing situation, to show constructiveness in the organization and planning of the pedagogical process, taking into account the possibility of using interactive learning technologies, as well as multimedia tools. In the process of studying and mastering a professional foreign language, the ability of applicants of all levels of higher education to effectively communicate and work with foreign language information, which is offered in both classical form and interactive technologies, is formed, which provides them with undeniable advantages in their future professional activities. Modern information and communication technologies have brought significant changes to the theory and practice of professional language education. Information technologies of education mean the processes of accumulation, processing, presentation and use of information using electronic means. Thus, the essence of informatization of education is currently defined as the creation of conditions for free access to larger volumes of active information in databases, knowledge bases, electronic archives, directories, encyclopedias. A society that cares about its future must realize the enormous opportunities brought by new information technologies and learn to competently apply them, primarily in higher education. The introduction of information and communication technologies in education is a mandatory prerequisite for the formation of an information society in a broad sense, capable of mastering and applying in practice the acquired knowledge and skills.
