Abstract

The paper highlights the life and work of Svitlana Petrivna Romanshchak (20.07.1929–31.07.2000). She was a fruit and vegetable agronomist by profession, and worked as a teacher of botany at the Uman Agricultural Institute (now the Uman National University of Horticulture). She made a significant contribution to the educational and practical work of the Department of Botany.
