Since 1989 to the present, the author has conducted a revision of the mollusks of the order Neogastropoda of the collection of Museum of Nature of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The basic collection was assembled during the first half of the 19th century and was actively expanded during the second half of the 20th century and to the present day. Currently, the geography of collected shells is quite broad and covers all parts of the world except Antarctica. At different times, the collection was replenished by L. V. Korabelnikov, I. P. Moskalets, I. P. Bondarev, O. M. Sumarokov, O. B. Feldman. There are quite rare specimens among them, such as Turbinella laffertii Kilbura, 1975 and Festilyria festiva Lamarck, 1811 from Indian ocean (near Somalia), Conus gloriamaris Chemnitz, 1777 from Filippines and Conus milneedwardsi Jousseaume, 1894 from Indian ocean (Mozambique). The annotated checklist of gastropods mollusk shells consists of 36 families, 212 genera, 602 species, 2855 specimens from Subclass Caenogastropoda order Neogastropoda.
